I’ve always believed that ideas are like seeds—they need the right environment to grow. After years of helping startups build their dreams online, I knew the next step had to be physical, tangible, real.
That’s how The Capital was born.
Located in Harare, The Capital is not just a co-working space. It’s a startup micro mall, a home for innovation, a creator’s playground, and a business launchpad—all rolled into one. Inspired by my book Starting from Scratch, this space is designed to take entrepreneurs on a journey from concept to corporation, from spark to structure.
But more than bricks and mortar, The Capital is about energy. It’s about the people. The ideas. The collisions. The magic that happens when great minds meet in the right setting.
Here are 10 exciting events and activities you can expect at The Capital:
1. Pop-Up Food Events
Our kitchens will come alive with the smells and flavors of Zimbabwe and beyond. These events are perfect for food entrepreneurs to test new dishes, gain feedback, and build followings. Think street food meets chef showcase.

2. Weekday & Weekend Markets
Crafts, fashion, tech, handmade goods, you name it. We’re creating vibrant markets to give visibility to micro brands and connect them directly with customers—whether on a lunch break or lazy Sunday stroll.
3. Entrepreneurship Workshops & Presentations
From accounting hacks to brand storytelling, we’ll host regular knowledge-sharing sessions led by seasoned professionals and fellow entrepreneurs.
4. Pitch Nights
Got an idea? Here’s your spotlight. Pitch Nights give startups the stage to share their businesses with potential investors, collaborators, and the wider public in a high-energy, feedback-rich format.

5. Exhibitions & Expos
We’ll open our spaces for themed expos—agriculture, health, design, tech—bringing in industry players, government, and media to shine a light on what’s being built.
6. Podcasting & Product Content Creation
With in-house studios and creator corners, The Capital will be a hub for podcasts, product shoots, YouTube content, and brand storytelling. We’ll also host content jams and creator bootcamps.

7. Product Launches & Partner Events
Whether launching a new skincare line, app, book, or documentary, our space will be available for entrepreneurs and partners to host impactful product unveilings and business events.
8. Mock Stock Exchange
This fun, educational activity allows startups to “list” their company updates to a community of investors—giving feedback, simulating growth rounds, and learning how to report like a listed entity.
9. Entrepreneur Book Club
Every month we’ll pick a business or personal development book to read and discuss. This is a space for reflection, learning, and lightbulb moments.
10. Networking Events (Cheese & Wine / Coffee & Cake)
Because great business doesn’t just happen in boardrooms. Sometimes, it starts over a shared glass of wine or a slice of cake. We’ll curate relaxed social spaces for entrepreneurs to connect in low-pressure, high-value settings.
In Conclusion
The Capital isn’t just a space—it’s a movement. A platform. A catalyst. We’re building it for the dreamers, the doers, the builders, and believers. If you’re ready to scale your idea, collaborate with other visionaries, and step into a world where business meets culture and creativity—then The Capital is your home.
See you there.
